1. Eligibility and Accounts

1.1 Eligibility

The Service can be used by anyone who is legally able to enter into a binding contract in their country of residence. Users under 13 years old may only use the Service with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

1.2 Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up‑to‑date information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Not share your account with others in a way that violates these Terms

1.3 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, you must notify us immediately at support@yourfriendbl.com.

2. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

2.1 Your Responsibilities

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Post or share illegal, abusive, or fraudulent content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, data, or accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Service, except where allowed by law

2.2 Abuse and Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that:

  • You have violated these Terms
  • Your use of the Service poses a risk to other users, our infrastructure, or third parties
  • We are required to do so by law or by a government request

3. Content and Intellectual Property

3.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of grocery lists, items, notes, reminders, and any other content you create using Lysta (“Your Content”).

By using the Service, you grant YourFriendBl a limited, worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to:

  • Store, process, and display Your Content as needed to operate the Service
  • Create temporary backups for reliability and recovery

We do not sell Your Content to third parties.

3.2 YourFriendBl’s Intellectual Property

All software, designs, logos, trademarks, and other content of the Service (excluding Your Content) are the property of YourFriendBl or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy or redistribute any part of the Service other than as allowed by these Terms or applicable law
  • Use any trademarks or branding without our prior written permission

4. Third‑Party Services and Google APIs

4.1 Third‑Party Integrations

The Service may integrate with third‑party services (for example, Google Sign‑In, Apple, or other providers) to enable authentication or other features. Your use of third‑party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

4.2 Google User Data

When you choose to sign in with your Google account, Lysta uses Google OAuth to access limited Google user data (such as your Google account ID, name, email address, and profile photo, if available). This data is used to:

  • Authenticate you and create/manage your Lysta account
  • Display your name and avatar inside the app
  • Help secure your account and protect against abuse

We do not use Google user data to:

  • Read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or other Google product content
  • Build advertising profiles or sell your data

Our access, use, and storage of Google user data complies with:

  • The Google API Services User Data Policy
  • The Google APIs Terms of Service

4.3 Revoking Access

You may revoke Lysta’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account settings. Revoking access may prevent you from logging in with Google until you re‑authorize.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

If Lysta offers paid features or subscriptions:

5.1 Billing and Purchases

In‑app purchases or subscriptions may be processed by Apple, Google, or other payment providers. Their terms and policies apply in addition to these Terms.

5.2 Renewal and Cancellation

Where subscriptions are offered:

  • Subscriptions may renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the app store or platform used for purchase (Apple App Store / Google Play Store / other)

Any specific refund rules will be governed by the platform’s policies and applicable local law.

6. Disclaimers

6.1 “As Is” Service

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non‑infringement
  • Availability or error‑free operation

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors
  • Data stored with the Service will never be lost, although we take reasonable measures to protect it

6.2 AI and Suggestions

Any AI‑generated suggestions (such as recommendations for items, recipes, or organization) are provided for convenience only and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation. You remain responsible for your own decisions and for verifying critical information.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • YourFriendBl, its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service will be limited to the greater of:
    • The amount you paid for the Service in the 3 months before the claim, or
    • USD $50 (or equivalent in your local currency)

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by contacting us at support@yourfriendbl.com or via any in‑app account deletion option (where available).

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, or certain features, if:

  • You violate these Terms or applicable law
  • We are required to do so by law or by a government request
  • We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, we will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

  • We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.
  • For significant changes, we may provide additional notice (for example, inside the app).

If you continue to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where YourFriendBl is established, without regard to conflict of law principles. Where local consumer protection laws require otherwise, those laws will apply to you.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will, where permitted by law, be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
