AI Policy

This AI Policy explains how AI features work across all products and services operated by YOURFRIENDBL LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("YOURFRIENDBL", "we", "us", or "our") — each a "Service" and together the "Services" — what data is sent to AI service providers, and what your rights and responsibilities are when you use AI features.
Our current Services include — but are not limited to — Lysta — AI Grocery & Lists ("Lysta"). This AI Policy applies to AI features in any current or future Service we launch.
1. AI Features in Our Services
AI features are optional — every AI interaction is triggered by you. Different Services include different AI features. As an illustrative example, the AI features currently available in Lysta are:

AI features in future Services will be documented in this Policy when they launch, or in a product-specific AI notice surfaced inside that Service.
2. AI Processing
We send the data described in Section 1 to trusted third-party AI service providers for processing. These providers operate as our subprocessors and are bound by written agreements that require them to:
- Process data only to provide the requested AI service to us.
- Apply industry-standard security controls.
- Not use your inputs or outputs to train their general AI models.
We select providers based on capability, security posture, and privacy commitments, and we may change providers from time to time. If you need to know which providers we currently use — for example, to fulfill a data-protection request or a compliance review — contact support@yourfriendbl.com.
3. What We Do NOT Do
- ❌We do not use your lists, items, notes, voice recordings, photos, or chat messages to train any AI model — ours or any third party's.
- ❌We do not sell AI inputs or outputs.
- ❌We do not use AI to make legally significant automated decisions about you (e.g., credit, employment, insurance).
- ❌We do not share your AI conversations with other users unless you explicitly share them.
4. Data Retention for AI
- Voice recordings are deleted from our servers shortly after transcription completes. The text transcript is kept as part of your list/voice history under your account.
- Photos sent for receipt scanning are deleted from our servers after extraction completes, unless you choose to keep them in your history.
- AI chat messages are stored under your account so you can see your history. You can delete individual messages or your entire chat history at any time from inside the app.
- AI providers may retain inputs/outputs for a short period (typically up to 30 days) for abuse monitoring before deletion. We use providers that contractually limit this retention.
5. Accuracy and Your Responsibility
AI features in Lysta are provided for convenience only. AI output:
- May be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or out of date.
- Should not be relied on for medical, dietary, allergen, financial, legal, or safety-critical decisions.
- Does not replace professional advice (doctor, dietitian, lawyer, accountant, etc.).
You are responsible for verifying AI output before relying on it. For example, double-check ingredient lists, allergen information, price extractions from receipts, and any health-related suggestions.
6. Acceptable Use of AI Features
You agree not to use Lysta's AI features to:
- Generate content that violates third-party rights or applicable law.
- Generate harmful, harassing, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or violent extremist content.
- Attempt to extract or reconstruct the AI provider's model, training data, or system prompts.
- Probe the system for vulnerabilities, jailbreaks, or prompt injections used to circumvent safety controls.
We may block or rate-limit AI features for accounts that misuse them.
7. Your Choices
You can:
- Use our Services without AI — every AI feature is optional. The core functionality of each Service (such as lists, groups, and sharing in Lysta) works without AI.
- Disable microphone or camera permissions in your device settings to prevent voice or photo-based AI features from working.
- Delete AI history from within the Service that stores it (for example, in Lysta: open the AI tab → history → delete, individually or in bulk).
- Delete your account — this removes your stored AI history along with the rest of your data, subject to the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
8. Children and AI
AI features are intended for users 13 and older (or the higher digital-consent age in your jurisdiction). If you are under that age, do not use AI features without parental supervision and consent. See the Children's Privacy section of the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to This AI Policy
We may update this AI Policy when we change AI providers, add new AI features, or update our handling practices. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top and may provide additional in-app notice for material changes.
